Tja, was soll ich zu Fürstenflagge sagen ? Erstmal bin ich fast vorbeigefahren, der Ort ist sehr klein, und dass hier 1871 laut Volkszählung über 300 Menschen gelebt haben (inkl. Gutsbezirk) ist schwer zu glauben. Ich habe kaum mehr als eine Handvoll Wohnhäuser entdeckt, und von dem alten Gutsbezirk ist auch kaum noch etwas zu sehen.Im Jahre 2000 waren in Fürstenflagge nur noch 10 Einwohner gemeldet. Einer der Orte, bei denen ich mich auf meiner Reise fragte: Was soll ich hier fotografieren ? Es wirkte schon ein bischen trostlos. In diesem Teil des Gollnower Umlandes, wo Mitte des 18. Jahrunderts auf Geheiß Friedrichs des Großen durch die Trockenlegung des Oderbruches mühsam das Land für Kolonisten angelegt wurde, scheint sich auch die Landwirtschaft nicht mehr zu lohnen. Wenn man die Landstraße weiter nach Osten Richtung Langenhagen zur nur wenigen Kilometer entfernten Oderausdehnung "Dammscher See" fährt, sieht man links und rechts kaum noch bestellte Felder, sondern viel Brachland, was sich das Moor nun zurückholt.
Fürstenflagge war für mich symptomatisch als Ort, wo die jungen Leute wohl keine Perspektive mehr sehen und weggezogen sind in die nahe Kleinstadt Gollnow oder nach Stettin.
Eine Kirche gibt es nicht, und der ehemalige kleine Friedhof südlich des Dorfes ist nicht mehr zu erkennen.
